The amount of work and energy it takes to build out the lobby for every New York in Bloom is overwhelming to say the least. It starts months in advance with a huge number of people from the museum. We go deep into the collections of the museum and focus on elements that are rarely seen if ever. The New York State Museum After School program is vital to our community and this is the main source of income to fund the educational program.
We always use the core elements provided by the Museum as the inspiration and then we get the design on! Our Friends at Clifton Park Rental and all the many hands of the museum get into the mix. My staff is always supporting me on the back side of things so I can spend two-three days never leaving the museum to direct and build out the space. Just when I am about finished my Crew comes in with prepped containers, arrangements and buckets of blooms for me to work with to finish the project off.
