Saratoga National Golf Club Wedding // Laura and Rob

I’ll never forget when this room opened. We did the very first wedding when the ballroom was on the first floor, and when the ballroom reopened on the second floor. I love the building, the location, the people who run it, the staff at SNGC is a blast to work with, and they always give “Good Wedding”.

Back when ballrooms were actually ballrooms they were rectangular. This has never, ever changed. The very essence of a Ball is all about the dance, which is centered in the space. There’s a location for the musicians and the ability to place dining tables in perfect locations around the parameter of the room for the best view  — regardless of size of the event. The ballroom at SNGC has more of a club-room feel. Many of the events go off without a hitch, but that’s because of the open-minded staff and management. If we need to switch up the plan to accommodate a request made by the couple — it’s no problem! For this wedding, a dance floor was added to the middle of the room so everyone could get their groove on … right smack dab in the middle of the action!

When Laura and Rob decided this was the place to celebrate, they were good to go. Laura wanted color and I gave it to her! The rich tones we selected for her wedding looked AMAZING In the late days of September. So unexpected for the fall, but still rich and romantic.

Thank you to Sean, Traci and the SNGC crew for making sure every brides’ dream comes true at the SNGC. And for letting us do our thing to make sure we get the “Design On” for all of our couples in  2011 and 2012.
