Amy & Paul // Winter Wedding at Saratoga National

Let it Snow …

Amy and Paul loved the look and feel of Saratoga National Golf Club; it was the perfect location for their wedding.  We knew in the beginning stages of planning that the last days of December would be cold, and the sun would set early.  Amy’s love of old world styling would meet its perfect match with layers of candles, creamy textured linens, and, of course, stunning flowers created by Renaissance Floral Design. Mother Nature did her part for the day with a fresh layer of snow to  give us a backdrop that is hard to find, and never guaranteed, for a winter wedding.

The Design …

The warm butter and wood tones of the club were embraced when we were creating the details. Luxury linens for this wedding! I used a triple layer linen for the head table and half of the guest tables, and the remaining tables were draped with cream and silver metallic linen. For the flowers, I worked with a combination of peonies, hydrangeas, cabbage roses, tulips, and flocked branches. I kept the tones of blush, cream, and butter which were perfect in the candle lit room. The tall arrangements also had accents of snow covered branches and vintage chandelier chain. Once they were placed on our crystal and granite stands, everything came together. For Amy’s bouquet I included her favorite flower,  gardenia, which are super tricky when its cold out (they turn brown if they are touched or get too cool). It took some careful planning and packaging on this super chilly day, but they stayed perfect until the reception.

 Thank You …

As always, the staff and management of Saratoga National  Golf Club could not have been more helpful in making everything perfect for the day. Sarah Smith did an amazing job on the photos, and I can’t thank her enough for having them to me so quickly.  We will also be adding a clip from the video styling of Larose Media soon.  As always, to my staff for helping make the day perfect!

Amy & Paul – Congratulations!
