“A Full Service Event Design Company…”

We can handle everything from your flowers to your linens to your rentals and more.  Until Alisha & Nick, handling wardrobe malfunctions was not on our list.  The night before the wedding, I received a call from Alisha. The sprinkler system in her hotel room had gone off and her GORGEOUS Vera Wang dress was covered in black streaks of carbon. The dress was expressed to NYC to be dry cleaned. Saturday morning dawned, and the dress came back carbon-free. Unfortunately, it was also completely shredded. All the layers on the bodice were falling off, and the tulle flounces of the skirt had flattened out and frayed.  One of my oldest friends, and grade school classmate, seamstress Sherri Russo took my call and when she heard what had happened she came to the rescue. Sherri literally restitched the entire bodice before I arrived at the hotel. 7 pairs of shears trimmed away the frayed edges, and then I hung the dress on a chandelier, and climbed under the skirt with a blow dryer and a can of spray starch. Sherri worked the in front of the dress with a steamer, and as we moved around the dress it came back to life. Never in my life have I faced a situation like this, but it just goes to show that anything can be fixed if you have the right people in play.  Alisha walked down the aisle in her gown looking picture perfect.

 Classic Elegance

Nick and Alisha wanted a romantic atmosphere that suited the old-world elegance of the Hall of Springs. We used our signature crystal and granite stands for the tall arrangements to bring in some bling and created rich arrangements of full blooms in soft ivory, pink, and butter tones. Our gold crush linen created a shimmering base, and our glass bubble chargers added some sparkle. For the bride and groom, we layered a sweetheart table in gold and ivory linen to create a luxurious look and completed this with multiple low arrangements and our signature Delano sofa. Our crystal candlesticks placed around the tables gave off a subtle glow that helped pull the whole look together. Despite the rocky start, it was an absolutely beautiful day.

Thank You…

First and foremost, to Alisha and Nick for trusting us to take care of them completely. Secondly, to Sherri Russo for saving the day. To Clark and Walker for the amazing images, Make Me Fabulous,  Al Woodard,  Clifton Park Rental,  Hall of Springs,  Grand Central, and, finally, to my amazing team and friends.

Congratulations Alisha & Nick!
